Nutrients, disease development and fast aging
There are over 100 basic nutrients your body needs every single day. To describe their most basic functions would take 200 or 300 pages. Therefore today I will tell you about one of my favourite nutrients which is vitamin C.
You already know that each nutrient is equally important and must be taken in sufficiently high doses. However, we can further maximize the benefits of nutrients by taken them together, this phenomenon is called nutrient synergy.
I take vitamins and minerals every day and I can see absolutely no difference.
Imagine you need 150 mg of vitamin B6 daily. So if one tablet of your dietary supplement contains 1 mg of vitamin B6, you would have to take 150 tablets at a time to deliver the desired amount of the nutrient.
So if you take one tablet a day, and even if you do it every day, you will see no or little progress. The doses of vitamins and minerals are simply too low to make any change to your body.
And taking daily 150 tablets containing drastic amounts of glidants, antiadherents, binders, coatings, colors, disintegrants and flavors would definitely worsen your condition than improve your health.
Human life is not possible without vitamin C.
Do you know that over 15 000 metabolic processes that are carried out in your body would not take place without vitamin C?
Without Vitamin C, the human immune system stops working.
And do you maybe know how much vitamin C your body can produce daily?
Most mammals produce vitamin C every day. Dogs and cats produce 1 000 to 2 000 mg of vitamin C per day. And when they are sick, the production of vitamin C can reach up to 7 000 mg per day.
Unfortunately, human beings don’t belong to this group. We are not able to produce even 1 mg of vitamin C. Therefore, we must rely on external sources of this vitamin.
The World Health Organization recommends about 80 mg of vitamin C per day.
80 mg of vitamin C can be compared to a pinhead.
And do you think that 80 mg of vitamin C per day is enough to carry out the 15 000 metabolic processes critical to your body?
Since nature has equipped animals with a vitamin C production mechanism of 1 000 mg for 10 kg of body weight, and both we humans and dogs or cats belong to mammals, one can assume that also humans need an average of 100 mg of vitamin C per kilogram of body weight when they are healthy
and need twice or three times as much at the time they are sick.
Suppose you weigh about 60 kg.
60 x 100 mg = 6 000 mg
So you need about 6 000 mg of vitamin C daily when you are fine. And when you are sick, the required daily dose increases to 10 000 – 15 000 mg of vitamin C per day.
And now let’s assume you smoke cigarettes.
Do you know how much vitamin C you need to neutralize toxins from one burned cigarette?
You need about 200 mg of vitamin C.
So if you smoke 10 cigarettes a day, you will need about 2 000 mg of vitamin C extra.
And if you smoke a packet of cigarettes, you will have to take about 4 000 mg of vitamin C extra.
So if you take the daily recommended amount of vitamin C, it will not even be enough to neutralize tobacco toxins. And what about the 15 000 metabolic processes that also require vitamin C?
However, it is not easy to provide your body with 5 000-6 000 mg of vitamin C daily, not mentioning other nutrients.
Everybody knows that fruits and vegetables are the best sources of vitamins and minerals. The problem is the modern farming methods have stripped a lot of nutrients from the soil leading to the decline of nutritional value of fruits and vegetables. However, even if an old-school farming method is used, we will not produce an apple containing 50 mg of vitamin C, for example.
One apple weighing about 100 grams contains 0.5 to 20 mg of vitamin C, and 100 grams of carrot contains only about 2 mg. So if you would like to provide your body with about 6 000 mg of vitamin C a day, you would have to eat 30 to 60 kg of apples daily.
You will find a lot of vitamin C in parsley. 100 grams of garden parsley contains about 269 mg of vitamin C. However, I don’t know many people who would eat 100 grams of parsley per day.
Oranges contain 30 to 50 mg of vitamin C in 100 grams of produce. So to provide your body with 6 000 mg of vitamin C, you would need to eat 12 to 20 kg of oranges.
As you can see it is impossible to provide your body with sufficiently high amounts of vitamins and minerals relying only on food resources. However, it doesn’t mean that nutrient-based therapy can replace nutrient-rich foods and the other way round.
Therefore, we should always combine nutrient-rich foods with nutrient-based therapy. There is no other way.
Flaccid skin, wrinkles, scars, varicose veins, lung diseases are the effects of vitamin C deficiency.
All people affected by chronic conditions, fast aging, cancer, severe depression, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease or senile dementia have huge daily vitamin C deficiencies.
By increasing the dose of vitamin C in the diet of the above-mentioned people, we can significantly reduce the intensity of symptoms they experience.
In the next chapter you will learn what symptoms of Parkinson’s disease will be relieved or reduced as a result of the therapy.
